The single most important page on this site: what it is, who actually does the work, and what we do not check.

The short version

macarthurtreeremoval.com.au is a referral website. Its entire function is to take your enquiry about tree work in the Macarthur region and put it in front of independent tree contractors who operate around Campbelltown, Ingleburn, Minto and the surrounding suburbs.

The operator of this website does not do the tree work. No one from this website climbs a tree, runs a chainsaw, drives a chipper or grinds a stump.

We put that at the top rather than the bottom because it changes who you are actually dealing with, and it changes who is responsible for what.

Last updated: August 2026.

Who turns up at your property

The person who inspects the tree, gives you a price, does the work and invoices you is an independent third-party contractor. They run their own business. They are not employed by the operator of this website, not owned or controlled by it, and not in partnership with it. We do not direct their methods, their safety systems, their pricing or their scheduling.

Once you are introduced, the following are entirely between you and them:

  • the site inspection and the quote;
  • the scope of works, and when it happens;
  • the price, the payment terms and any warranty;
  • their licences, qualifications, training and insurance;
  • how the work is carried out and to what standard; and
  • any damage, delay, defect or dispute that comes up.

The operator of this website is not a party to that agreement and does not accept responsibility under it.

How to read the word "we" everywhere else on this site

Throughout the service pages you will see phrasing like "we arrange", "the crews we work with" and "call us for a quote". That is normal plain-English writing, not a claim that the website operator performs tree work.

Read every one of those as: "we will connect you with an independent local contractor who does this." That is what it means, on every page, without exception.

Anything written as a service — arborist reports and assessments, tree removal, development site clearing, pruning, stump grinding, palm removal, hedge trimming, storm damage response, mulching and green waste removal — describes work carried out by independent contractors, not by us.

We do not verify contractors. Please check them yourself.

This is the part we most want you to read.

We do not check, verify, confirm, endorse, certify or guarantee any contractor's insurance, licensing, qualifications, certifications, training, safety practices, workmanship, pricing or availability. We make no representation that any contractor introduced to you is suitable, competent or adequately covered for your particular job.

We ask the crews we work with to carry public liability cover. Asking is not verifying. We do not sight, audit or hold their certificates, and we cannot confirm that any policy is current, adequate for your job, or has not lapsed.

So before you let anyone start work on your property:

  • ask to see a current public liability insurance certificate, and check the dates and the amount;
  • ask what qualifications the person doing the work holds for that specific task;
  • ask whether they carry workers compensation cover for anyone else on site;
  • get the quote in writing, with clean-up, stump removal and green waste clearly in or out of scope; and
  • get a second quote. Any competent operator expects these questions and will not object to them.

If a contractor is reluctant to answer any of that, do not proceed. That reluctance is information.

Arborist reports and professional advice

This site describes arborist reports and tree assessments among the services you can be connected with. To be completely clear about what that means:

The operator of this website does not prepare arborist reports, does not carry out tree assessments, and does not provide arboricultural, engineering, planning, legal or any other professional advice. No page on this site is a tree assessment, a report, or professional advice about your tree.

What we can do is connect you with an independent contractor or consultant who prepares such reports. If you need one, it is your responsibility to satisfy yourself — before you commission it — that the author's qualifications, experience and professional standing suit what Campbelltown City Council, your certifier, your insurer or your solicitor is actually asking for. Different purposes call for different levels of report and different levels of qualification, and a report that does not meet the requesting party's requirements may not be accepted. Ask the requesting party what they need, in writing, and ask the report author to confirm they can meet it.

The operator of this website takes no responsibility for the content, accuracy, adequacy or acceptance of any report prepared by a third party.

Council approvals — what we can and cannot do

Campbelltown City Council regulates the removal and pruning of trees and vegetation on private land, and trees in the nature strip, road reserve, parks and reserves are Council's assets rather than yours.

The operator of this website has no role in, and no influence over, any council decision. We cannot grant approval, obtain approval, guarantee approval, fast-track an application or speak for Council. Nothing published on this site is an approval, a permit, or confirmation that you do not need one.

General information published here about tree controls, protected vegetation, exemptions, street trees, green waste and dumping is written for the district as a whole. Requirements change, and how they apply depends on the specific tree, its species, its size, its condition and where it sits on the property. Confirm your situation directly with Campbelltown City Council before any tree work is booked. If something on this site conflicts with Council, Council is right and this site is wrong.

General information about trees and local conditions

Material on this site about local species — Cumberland Plain Woodland remnants, grey box, forest red gum, narrow-leaved ironbark, spotted gum — and about shale-derived clay soils, summer heat, storm behaviour and estate development is general background written for the Macarthur region. It is not an inspection of your tree and cannot substitute for one.

If you are genuinely worried about a tree, have a suitably qualified person inspect it in person.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this website accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense arising from or connected with:

  • the conduct, workmanship, methods, omissions, advice or delay of any independent contractor;
  • work performed, performed badly, delayed, or not performed at all;
  • any contract, quote, invoice, payment issue, damage claim or dispute between you and a contractor;
  • the content, adequacy or acceptance of any arborist report or assessment prepared by a third party;
  • reliance on any general information published on this website; or
  • any council penalty, enforcement action, refusal or approval issue relating to tree or vegetation work at a property.

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

Referral arrangements

The operator of this website may receive a fee or other commercial benefit from contractors in connection with enquiries referred to them. This does not add anything to the price you are quoted, and it does not oblige you to accept a quote or to use any contractor you are introduced to. You remain free to obtain other quotes, and you should.
